Lawrence Sherry was born on 25 July, 1935 and died on 17 December, 2006. Lawrence Sherry was an American right-handed relief pitcher in Major League Baseball who spent most of his career with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Detroit Tigers. Lawrence Sherry was named the Most Valuable Player of the 1959 World Series as the Dodgers won their 1st championship since relocating from Brooklyn just 2 years earlier. Lawrence Sherry was born with clubfeet for which he needed surgery as an infant and wore special shoes.
